A cat stung by a wasp is usually more serious and it is recommended that it is brought to the vet in time for treatment. As there are more types of wasps, if stung by a low-toxicity wasp, it may generally cause localised skin redness and pain, and it is recommended that it is first taken to the vet to have the wasp’s stinger removed. Then in severe cases, treatment may be required later with injections or fluids.
