The dog’s anal bleeding needs to depend on what is causing it. If the faeces are dry and the dog is overly aggressive in its efforts, causing the anal tear to bleed, then the dog’s wound needs to be cleaned with saline and a decontamination and muscle-building medication applied. In the case of perianal cysts, the pus needs to be removed and then the wound needs to be irrigated with saline two to three times and finally treated with an antiseptic.
