Once a dog has developed a corneal ulcer, the extent of the ulcer needs to be determined at the hospital before deciding how to treat it. In mild cases, the dog will need daily eye cleaning, antibiotic eye drops, corneal epithelial repair factor and a headband. If severe, surgical treatment may be required.
