Dogs may have a prone position with a low front and high back. Clinical signs may include loss of appetite, vomiting and diarrhoea, lack of exercise, palpation of the abdomen, resistance, barking and convulsions when in severe pain. At this point, the dog should be taken to the animal hospital for examination of gastric ulcers and perforation of foreign bodies in the stomach.
