The Miniature Doberman is a native German breed, also known as the Deer Dog because of its deer-like form. It is small, solid and well-proportioned with a smooth coat. The Miniature Doberman is lively, cheerful and strong. Before 1900, this dog was an obscure breed in the German region. Although somewhat resembling a Doberman miniature, it is not genetically related in any way. The Miniature Doberman is scientifically known as the Miniature Pinscher and is not the same breed as the Fawn.
