Springing in cats is a cyclical behaviour produced by hormonal changes in the body, which generally cannot be stopped by ordinary means and can be relieved by diverting the cat’s attention or calming it down in time; if it is not for breeding purposes, the cat can be de-sexed and the de-sexing surgery needs to be staggered during the cat’s estrus period, as de-sexing during estrus will increase bleeding and can even endanger the cat’s life in serious cases.
