If the cat is infected locally, you can consider using topical antifungal medication. If the cat is infected systemically, we recommend taking a bath and oral antifungal medication. Ringworm can be contagious and spread, so be sure to wear an Elizabethan ring and make sure there are no fungal spores before stopping the medication to prevent a relapse.
