Newborn kittens can be fed in the following ways: Firstly, if the kitten is 0-7 days old, it needs to be fed every 2-3 hours, while kittens over one week old can be fed once every 3-4 hours. Secondly, buy milk powder for kittens and do not feed pure milk. Cats are lactose intolerant and feeding pure milk will cause them to have diarrhoea. You can add cod liver oil and calcium tablets to the milk to supplement the nutrition needed by kittens. In addition, prepare a warm and comfortable litter with pee pads to keep it warm, and pay attention to keeping the litter breathable and ventilated to avoid kittens getting cold and flu. Finally, kittens do not excrete on their own, they are stimulated to do so by their mother licking their anus. Owners can simulate their mother’s behaviour by preparing a soft cloth or paper towel to gently wipe their cat’s anus, preferably after each drink of milk.
