Treatment of rhinitis should begin with removing the cause of the disease, placing the sick dog in a warm environment, stopping training the dog and resting appropriately. In general, dogs with acute, mild rhinitis can often be cured without medication. For severe rhinitis, the following drugs can be used to rinse the nasal cavity of the dog: 1% saline, 2-3% boric acid solution, 1% sodium bicarbonate solution, 0.1% potassium permanganate solution, etc. However, when rinsing the nasal cavity, the dog’s head must be lowered, and after rinsing, an anti-inflammatory agent is dripped into the nose.
