Bathing and shaving is only recommended for fully immunised dogs, and when shaving for the first time, it is advisable to take your dog to a specialist pet shop to avoid accidental injury to your dog by shaving at home. Of course the timing of shaving after grooming depends on how quickly the hair grows and how clean it is.
