Generally when cats have early kidney failure, the clinical signs are not very obvious and are mostly seen in older cats. The general clinical signs include: anorexia, poor spirit, weight loss, lethargy, vomiting and diarrhoea, bad taste in the mouth and pain on palpation in the abdomen. If any of these symptoms occur, the cat needs to be taken to hospital for examination.
