One: Active, the Alaskan has a high level of energy and likes to get out and about, and may “tear down the house” if excess energy is not released for long periods of time. Two: Intelligent, Alaskans are generally intelligent as sled dogs, as they can cope with many unexpected events in the snow, but they are less able to understand and obey commands. Three: Friendly, patient and very loyal to their humans, they will not actively attack them, but are territorial and can become more aggressive once they feel encroached upon.
