The Husky is a medium sized dog, originally from the Siberian region of Russia. Husky standard height: males, 21-23 inches (53-60cm) at the shoulder; females 20-22 inches (51-56cm). Standard weight: male, 45-60 pounds (20-27kg); female 35-50 pounds (16-23kg). From the side, the husky’s length should be slightly greater than his height, with a ratio of about 12:11, rather than equal. Coat: Double-coated, medium-length, with a soft, thick inner coat, and a straight, crouching outer coat. Coat color: All coat colors are possible, from black to white, brown to red. Personality traits: friendly, mischievous, outgoing, loves to wander. Average life span: 11-12 years.
