If you find fleas on your dog, you can dip a cotton swab in alcohol and apply it to your dog’s skin, or use a deworming solution. This will kill the fleas and help the dog shake them off afterwards; or use flea control soap and apply it to the dog when it is bathing, rub out the lather and then wash it off for a few minutes. To determine if your dog has fleas, look for a spot where the dog keeps scratching; fleas can make your dog’s skin itchy, and when your dog keeps scratching a spot on its body, it is likely to be infected with fleas; check for red wounds on your dog. If there are many tiny red wounds in the dog’s fur, then the chances are that the dog is parasitized by fleas.
