Types of dog ears Dogs have more than one kind of ears

The hooded ears are described as “small, erect and slightly hooded”. When viewed from the side, they look like two small, bulging sails on the head, and the curve of the ears resembles the feel of a hood. The candle flame ears of the English Toy Terrier are interesting in that they are slightly tucked in at the base of the ears and the inside of the ears are very bright, resembling a candle flame because of their light color.
Hazel ears are described as “hazelnut shaped, low rooted and hanging flat against the cheeks”, and V-shaped ears are not really an ear type, but a term used to describe the end of the ear.
