Difference between West Highland and Chenery

The West Highland has small ears, which are erect and widely spaced. The Sheltie’s ears, however, are mostly half-folded, drooping down and folding forward, and the distance between ears is not as wide. The West Highlander has almond-shaped, dark brown eyes, while the Sheltie’s eyes are oval. The West Highland has a short loin and short legs, while the Sheltie has long legs. The West Highland is Scottish in origin and is of the same ancestry as the Scottish, Cairn, and Short-footed Long-bodied Terrier breeds. The Chenille, on the other hand, is native to Germany and has the bloodlines of the Poodle and the Gundog Doberman, hence the curly coat.
