Most Huskies do not bark like other dogs, but howl like wolves. Huskies were created long ago by mating dogs with wolves and they have 65%-80% of the wolf gene in themselves. The average young Husky rarely barks and will only howl like a wolf in special circumstances, such as leaving their original pack and fear of unfamiliar surroundings.
