Dogs can be given hyoscine for diarrhoea, but there are many causes of diarrhoea in dogs. It is not recommended to give hyoscine to a dog as soon as it has diarrhoea. Oxytetracycline is a broad-spectrum, semi-synthetic antibiotic and if the dog has diarrhoea caused by gastroenteritis, gastroenteritis is treated primarily with antibiotic medication. If the diarrhoea is caused by parasites, deworm it. If the diarrhoea is caused by indigestion, probiotics can be given. If the diarrhoea is caused by distemper, seek medical attention.
