Cats love to lick their fur because they love cleanliness and habitually tidy their fur. It is also possible that the frequent licking of hair is caused by skin discomfort in cats. If it is skin discomfort, it is recommended that the owner checks the location of the cat’s frequent hair licking, peels back the hair to examine the skin in that area, and if there is a rash, redness or other abnormalities send the cat to the hospital in time to avoid delaying the condition.
