A tail-less dog is generally described as a dog without a tail. Dogs are born with tails, and some of the earliest people had their tails broken because they had to hunt, and to avoid attacks from enemies. The common ones today: Teddy, Corgi, Doberman, Deerhound, Cocker Spaniel, etc., all had their tails broken from a young age for the aesthetics of the animal. That also partly because the tail has suffered irreversible recovery and needs to be surgically broken.
