Generally we understand ringworm, if it is some crusting or flaking, then it depends on whether it is localised or generalised. If a dog has a fungal infection, especially Malassezia, Microsporum or other fungal infections, it will appear as a patchy, round loss of hair that is distributed throughout the body. In this case, we can use anti-fungal sprays or shampoos to treat the symptoms. In this case, we can use antifungal shampoos to clean the dog. If the spray or shampoo does not work well, we may do an examination in hospital, such as a skin scraping to determine which fungus it belongs to, or a fungal culture to see which fungal medicine it belongs to, and then use the right medicine. If it improves after the medication, then we can use hoovers, spray some disinfectants and bathe it regularly with fungal shampoo to prevent it from happening again. Also be aware that some fungus can be transmitted to people, so be sure to clean and disinfect yourself after petting or washing your dog.
