Bleeding gums in cats: i. Gingivitis becomes periodontitis when it invades further around the roots of the teeth. The clinical symptoms are: cats have a lot of flux, intermittent feeding, are afraid to eat hard food, have difficulty chewing, and occasionally the food touches the lesion and causes severe pain and shouting. The mouth emits an unpleasant odour. The affected cat resists oral examination. During the oral examination, calculus can be seen on the teeth, the teeth are loose, the roots are congested and swollen, and when the affected teeth are touched by instruments, there is obvious pain.The calculus should be thoroughly removed and the necrotic teeth and teeth that have lost their function should be extracted.
