Cats are generally treated for vomiting with medication containing maropitant citrate, which is suitable for most causes of vomiting. As it is a central antiemetic, it has little effect on the cat’s gastrointestinal tract and is one of the safer antiemetics. There are also antiemetics containing medications such as Gastrofacial and Scopolamine, but the use of these medications needs to be tailored to the cat’s actual condition.
