Dogs that are not fully immunised are advised to first rule out viral respiratory diseases such as distemper and adenovirus. Fully immunised dogs that have developed antibodies are advised to have some imaging tests to look at the respiratory tract, lung conditions and in older dogs we advise that heart problems need to be considered. Specific conclusions can then be drawn before targeting medication. Remember to go to a regular vet.
