The purebred Golden will almost never appear black, and the Golden belongs to a relatively independent and stable breed, and the phenomenon of reversion is also very rare. If you see a black Golden, it is likely that at least one of the parents has a black gene, and is mostly bred with black Labrador crosses. Many people will also mistake the Flat-coated Roving Retriever for the Golden because there is almost no difference between them, except for a shorter coat. According to the international FCI standard, Goldens are classified into nine colors, ranging from cream, cream and off-white to slightly golden, golden and dark golden, to light brown, dark brown and reddish brown.
