There are many causes of diarrhoea in dogs and the common viruses that cause diarrhoea in dogs are: micro virus, coronavirus and rotavirus. Of these, microviruses and coronaviruses are clinically available as vaccines, so the best defence against viral diseases is vaccination. This is followed by bacterial infections such as Salmonella, E. coli and Clostridium perfringens.
