Folliculitis in cats is generally caused mainly by mites, fungi or bacteria. Clinical signs are mainly blackheads, acne, scratching and gnawing, local or general hair loss, impaired hair growth and redness and heat around the hair follicle. Treatment is mainly based on the cause, symptomatic treatment, regular deworming care and strengthening the skin’s own protective barrier.
