Distemper is the number one infectious disease in dogs. It is a virulent infection with an incubation period and many complications such as gastroenteritis, dermatitis, conjunctivitis, upper respiratory tract infection, pneumonia and neurological symptoms, with a mortality rate of around 80%. The initial stage of the disease is a two-way fever, with a temperature of 39.5 to 41 degrees, loss of appetite, fussy eating, depression, conjunctivitis of the eyes, a dry nose and a watery discharge from the nose. In the middle stage, there is coughing, sneezing with pus, increased conjunctivitis, pus eye discharge, yellowish-green colour, loss of appetite and gastrointestinal reactions, as well as skin symptoms such as seborrheic dermatitis, thickened keratinised foot pads and cracked noses. In the late stages of distemper, the whole body trembles uncontrollably, such as head and eye tremors, paralysis or paralysis, general convulsions, foaming at the mouth, salivation, etc.
