Management of Diabetes Mellitus in Dogs

Once a dog is found to have diabetes it will require lifelong insulin injections. If the insulin is not well absorbed, the dog’s survival time is generally very short and death can occur at any time. If the insulin is absorbed well, it is possible for the dog to live for several more years if the insulin is injected for a long time.
