What are the abnormal eyelash growth conditions in dogs

Abnormal eyelash growth in dogs refers to abnormal growth in the direction and position of the eyelashes. Normally the eyelashes grow from the edge of the lid forward and outwards, which protects the eye. The abnormal growth of the eyelashes can have an effect on the dog’s eye health. This problem does not occur in cats, but only in dogs. Some common types of abnormal eyelash growth are double-lashed, ectopic eyelashes, inverted eyelashes and long eyelashes.
