Once a dog is found to have diabetes, it will need insulin injections for life. If the insulin is not absorbed well, the dog’s survival time will be very short and death will occur at any time. Secondly, if the injected insulin can be absorbed well, it is possible to live for a few more years if the injections are adhered to over a long period of time.
