There is no cure for arthritis in cats, only medication or surgery to help relieve the damage and pain caused by arthritis. Firstly, antibiotics should be used to help the cat fight the inflammatory infection, secondly, painkillers should be used to relieve the pain, joint maintenance medication should be taken to limit the cat’s movement, and in severe cases, joint closure injections or surgery may be required to resolve the problem.
