Symptoms of pregnancy in cats

The earliest external signs of pregnancy in cats are a change in colour of the nipples from pale pink to dark pink and a prominence of the nipples due to the loss of hair around the nipples. Weight will gradually increase by 1 – 2kg, depending on the number of kittens in the tummy.
