The Quasimodo is an American born German Shepherd with no neck who was abandoned by his owner because of his ugly appearance. Because of the disability he was born with, he was given the name “Quasimodo” after a character in a Hugo novel. This is due to a rare short spine syndrome, a recessive genetic condition that is not caused by man.
