Once a dog develops a UTI, it depends on what causes the UTI. Firstly: if the UTI is caused by an obstructive condition, etc., only the problem of urination needs to be solved and will recover after treatment, at no great cost. Secondly: severe UTIs may require dialysis, medication and other conditions and are not cheap.
