There are many dogs that have just been bought into the family and have to be vaccinated and dewormed within a certain period of time. Deworming can actually be done after the dog is one month old. If the dog is not dewormed, there is a high risk of diarrhoea and other conditions due to the source of infection. Some worms are also transmitted through breast milk and deworming is good for the dog and good for the home environment. It is recommended that puppies are wormed once a month, both internally and externally.
