The Finnish Hound is a large, gentle dog that is also very active when mischievous and easy to get along with children. With their quiet nature, they make relatively good family dogs. The male of the breed is easily excited when meeting other males. Agile and independent, energetic, docile and calm, they need to be trained rigorously from an early age.
