Male cats in heat

Firstly, we need to understand the concept of oestrus, which refers to a periodic sexual activity of female animals when they reach sexual maturity. Generally speaking, male animals do not go into heat periodically as females do. The so-called male cat in heat actually refers to a series of sexual behaviours such as increased aggression, agitation, genital engorgement and urine marking caused by the stimulation of the female cat after sexual maturity (usually 7 months). De-sexing is the only effective way to address this behaviour.
