There are many kinds of long-haired dogs, the most common being the Maltese, Yorkie, Shih Tzu and Butterfly, which have beautiful soft coats and are relatively small in size. There are also larger, more beautiful dogs such as the Afghan, the Cocker Spaniel, the English Ancient Sheepdog and the Scottish Shepherd. The Afghan Hound has a relatively flowing and silky coat.
