How to treat localised abscesses in dogs

For many dogs they face not only the risks of surgery, but also the risks associated with anaesthetic drugs. Dogs that are too old to be anaesthetised can be dangerous and many may not wake up because they cannot tolerate the anaesthetic. It is therefore important to decide whether to operate or what type of anaesthetic to use depending on the condition of the dog. There are two types of anaesthesia: general anaesthesia and local anaesthesia. Two or more drugs and/or methods of anaesthesia are often used in conjunction with each other to achieve the desired anaesthetic effect, i.e. combined anaesthesia.
