How to treat distemper in dogs

Canine distemper is the number one infectious disease in the canine family and it is important to go to hospital and treat this aggressively as soon as it occurs. Generally when this occurs, fluids and injections are required. Fluids are given to replenish electrolytes to prevent dehydration and electrolyte disorders in dogs, followed by antibiotics, interferon, distemper monoclonal antibody (serum), distemper inhibiting protein, etc. It must be treated aggressively to have a chance of surviving.
