When a Teddy has a fracture, it is generally recommended to go to the hospital first to confirm which part of the body has a fracture. Of course, there are some fractures where internal fixation is the best way to go and others that require splinting. After splinting, it is usually necessary to go to the hospital for a follow-up X-ray in 7 days to determine when to remove the splint, and secondly to see if the splint is broken or not. The healing period for fractures is usually around 1-2 months.
