Cats must first be infected with Toxoplasma gondii and the infective cysts are excreted and fermented outside the body for 1-2 days before they become infective after human contact and enter the digestive tract through the mouth. Cats are the end host of Toxoplasma gondii, but not all cats are infected with Toxoplasma gondii. Cats may be infected if they regularly go out and eat raw meat and water. It is recommended that the cat litter tray is cleaned up promptly and not left for too long. When a pregnant woman is caring for a cat, it is recommended that she wears gloves and cleans up promptly and does not let the cat go out. Do not give your cat raw meat or water to avoid toxoplasma infection.
