The Golden Retriever will understand the meaning of a new command and remember it easily after hearing it five times, has a 95% chance of complying with it when given by its owner, and will respond within seconds of hearing the command even if the owner is located at a distance, and can learn well even if the trainer is inexperienced. However, a Golden Retriever with a high IQ can be a little clever, such as hiding when he makes a mistake, never being stupid enough to wait in place for his owner, and sometimes being mischievous and fond of chewing on things around the house.
