Initial stage (pimple stage): Rub the affected area with iodine or erythromycin ointment and take the dog to the sun more often. Blister stage: Cut the hair around the blister, apply a cold compress with saline and boric acid solution, wipe any broken blisters with alum solution and give the dog dexamethasone and chlorpromazine hydrochloride injections. Prednisone Acetate: Prednisone Acetate should be given to the dog, Cytoxan ointment should be rubbed on the affected area with a cotton swab and paracetamol should be injected. Cicatricial stage: Dogs with ulcers and depression need to be taken to the vet.
