The English Flying Spaniel is a medium sized sporting dog with a compact, broken tail. The coat is medium in length, with feathering on the legs, ears, chest and belly. With its drooping ears, gentle and refined expression, firm structure and friendly wagging tail, it is certainly a member of the old family of snipe hounds. Today, the English Flying Spaniel is used extensively as a “police dog” in its duties.
