Dogs have pus in their urethra

Pus-like fluid from the dog’s urethra indicates a urinary tract infection and the owner is advised to take the dog to hospital as soon as possible for treatment. In the meantime, it is a good idea to have an Elizabethan collar for the dog to wear. This is because with an infected urethra, the dog will feel uncomfortable and will keep licking it, which may lead to more bacterial infection and aggravate the condition.
