A cat’s lifespan is the equivalent of 18 years for a human in one year. The general age of cats is divided into three stages: the first stage, from birth to 6 months of age is the young cat, corresponding to 12 years of age. The second stage, from 6 months of age to 1 year of age corresponds to 18 years of age of a human being. In other words, cats are counted as adults from the age of majority, and every 2 months cats are counted as one year old. Female cats generally become sexually mature and come into heat around 6 months, but they cannot be mated at this time, and it is recommended to breed them after 12 months. A normal cat can live to be around 12-17 years old.
