Distemper in late stages

Feeding is particularly repulsive. Moods fluctuate, and because of lack of appetite and nutrition, walking can be difficult, becoming more immobile, highly depressed and lethargic. Pus is secreted from the eyes and they stick together and cannot be opened. Eye damage in some dogs is clinically characterised by conjunctivitis and keratitis (keratitis is mostly seen around 15 days after onset, with the cornea turning white). In severe cases, corneal ulceration, perforation and blindness may occur. Neurological symptoms appear, mostly at 7 to 21 days, but also at the beginning.
