The advantages of the Great Pyrenees include: gentle, friendly and loyal, they will stand up for their owners when they are in danger, they are loyal to their job in all weather conditions and make a great companion dog. Disadvantages include: over-eating, high exercise levels and a large range of activities, so a large space in the home and some time for the owner to take him out for play.
